It all started in 2005 with Bill and Carolyn, and their two children, leaving Sydney for quality local food, friends and family in Tasmania. With a catering and restaurant background they quickly set-up in Longford in the north of the state and Tasmanian Gourmet Kitchen (TGK) was born.
TGK grew quickly and is now part of a bigger commercial kitchen in Cambridge, near Hobart. The original family recipes have not changed and the best local Tasmanian produce is still sourced. Our commercial kitchen operates under an accredited HACCP program to ensure food safety and quality assurance to our continually growing customer base, which includes stockists across Australia and overseas.
TGK still supports local Tassie growers wherever possible and makes use of the best seasonal produce available — we think this is why our savoury marmalades and chutneys taste so good!
